Gran Premio d'Italia

The Gran Premio d'Italia is a flat horse race in Italy for three-year-old thoroughbred colts and fillies run at San Siro Racecourse in Milan.
It is presently classed as a Listed race and run over a distance of 2,000 metres (1¼ miles) in June. Prior to 1996, however, it held the more prestigious Group 1 status and was run over 2,400 metres (1½ miles) in September.
