Grampians Adventure Golf is a mini-golf course in the Grampians National Park. It is located four kilometres south of Halls Gap.
The course is built on two hectares. It has some of the most uncanny mini-golf challenges, such as jump shots, in-the-dark holes, and streams.[neutrality disputed] Balls that have fallen into the streams can often be retrieved with a fishing net. In the clubhouse, people[who?] can buy coffee, milkshakes, and lunch specials.

[edit] The course
[edit] Hole 1
The first hole. After the first shot, the ball may roll down a hill. To make things worse, the player needs to get the shot carefully out of the hill, which is quite difficult. The flag is on the main path, so the player must be careful to avoid the ball rolling down the hill.
[edit] Hole 2
There is a circular wall in the middle of this hole. The player must play around it. But be careful, because there are two rocks guarding the flag.
[edit] Hole 3
In the middle of the hole, there is a gap that the player must clear. If the player does not clear the gap, the ball lands in the stream and he must get it with a net. Of course, the player gets a one-stroke penalty for landing in the stream. To make things worse, there is a hill guarding the gap, making it hard to play it safe. The only option is to try to clear the gap on the first shot. For the player himself to reach the other side of the hole, he can either cross the nearby bridge, or jump over the gap. To add to the hole's difficulty, there is another hill guarding the flag.
[edit] Hole 4
After completing Hole 3, go down the hill to Hole 4. There are two steep hills in the middle of this hole. It's easy to clear the first one on your first shot, but a little harder the clear the second one on your first shot. So often, the first shot lands between the two hills.
[edit] Hole 5
After completing Hole 4, go up the hill again to Hole 5. This hole is modelled after the Grand Canyon. Your first shot will go down the hill into darkness. And you must go inside. But be careful, because even though there are rocks guarding the lake on the right (inside the cave), the ball may go past these rocks and into the water. This time, the ball is irretrievable - the player must go back to the clubhouse and get another one. After exiting the cave, you will have a nice break getting the ball into the flag.
[edit] Hole 6
After completing Hole 5, go up the nearby stairs to Hole 6. This is one of the weirdest holes on the course. To start off with, the player putts the ball into one of two holes, (the right one takes you to the end of the hole and the left to the second part of the hole, which is much harder because you have to go past a gap). For the player himself to get to the second part of the hole, he must either walk down there the long way, or squeeze through a gap between the staircase's rail and the gazebo. The player will play his second shot over a bridge. But he must be careful, because there is a gap in the middle of the bridge, as explained earlier, that takes the ball into the stream. After having the ball cross the bridge, the player must be careful, because there is a bunker behind the flag.
[edit] Hole 7
The player starts off putting down a steep hill. Then he must reach the hole by putting up two more steep hills.
[edit] Hole 8
Climb back down the staircase that leads to Hole 6 and you will go to Hole 8. This hole is right next to Hole 5, which fools some people. The first shot is played over a curve, and then there is a fork in the road in the middle of the hole. The right path has many rocks, but the left path is narrow and players who take it have a harder time reaching the flag. So it is recommended that you take the right path.
[edit] Hole 9
This hole curves to the left. It is quite hard, because there are ten rocks in the middle of this hole. The player must, of course, avoid them.
[edit] Hole 10
Probably the hardest hole on the course. It is modelled after the Nerve Test, a narrow ledge near the Pinnacle Mountain in the Grampians. There are two options to play this hole:
- 1. Putt the ball down a steep hill that has two rocks on it. You must avoid these rocks, of course. To make things worse, there is a basket on the left on the hill, and it catches any balls that have been hit too far to the left. It is nearly impossible to play out of this basket, so you must restart the hole.
- 2. Place your ball on a ledge just up from the normal starting point. Be very careful if you do this, though. Although you will probably get the ball closer to the hole this way, you must play over a very narrow bridge that has no walls and is flat, so the ball may fall off and land in the scrub. If it lands too deep into the scrub, get another ball from the clubhouse.
Whichever way you choose, you must then play around a circular wall. Then to reach the flag, you must play down a narrow and downhill path that is guarded by two rocks.
[edit] Hole 11
To start off with, the player must putt the ball into one of two holes that both lead to a pipe system. The ball will then go through the pipes and to the second part of the hole. The hole on the right takes you closer to the flag, although it is harder to reach.
[edit] Hole 12
The flag is at the top of an anthill-like hill. Getting the ball into the flag is quite tricky, because it is hard to play the ball on the flat part of the hill.
[edit] Hole 13
There are three small hills in the middle of this hole. Between these hills are cups like the ones the flags are in. Although these cups make many people think the hole is very easy, these cups are actually traps. If a ball lands in one of them, the player is given a one-stroke penalty. The flag is, of course, at the end of the hole.
[edit] Hole 14
The player plays up a hill, then must play up a narrower hill. However, the player must be careful afterwards, because there is a bunker behind the flag.
[edit] Hole 15
This hole curves sharply to the right up a hill. There is another hill guarding two holes leading to pipe systems. It is recommended that you take the hole to the right, because it takes you closer to the flag. The hole on the left takes you near the beginning of the second part of the hole.
[edit] Hole 16
This hole is known as the Stairway to Hell. To get to this hole, the player goes up some stairs after completing Hole 15. The player plays down five steps to get to the flag. Each step has a certain area that the player must play through to get to the next step. The first three steps have rocks that must be avoided, and the fourth step has a gap to the stream.
[edit] Hole 17
The player putts the ball into a cave under the bridge. This cave is filled with rocks. The player must avoid these rocks, then exit the cave and putt the ball into the flag.
[edit] Hole 18
To play the lucky last hole, go up the staircase that leads to Hole 16. On the right is Hole 18. Putt the ball into one of three holes. These holes lead to a pipe system that takes the player to the second part of the hole. To fool players, there is a fence right in front of these holes, and behind that fence is a small piece of land made with felt. For the player himself to get to the second part of the hole, he must run all the way down the staircase, then past Hole 17. The player must then putt down a hill, then up another hill. Although on previous holes, it was unnecessary to remove the flags to play the ball into the cups, removing the flag is a must this time. Like most mini-golf courses, putting the ball into the cup here on Hole 18 will take the ball back to the clubhouse.
People can also play the special jackpot hole. This is a caged hole near the course's entrance. Anyone who gets a hole-in-one on this hole wins a lot of money.[citation needed]
