Grace Polit

Grace Polit was born in Santiago de Guayaquil in Ecuador, South America.

She has become internationally recognized and has succeeded in creating a new interpretation in her work which has won acclaim for her paintings both from the general public and from critics.

Grace Polit initialised in 1974 her arts creation called "Universal Heritage", in which she expresses with the help of the four elements: water, earth, air and fire in combination with the human figure all the range of positiv sentiments of the human being Restaurator of the Museo de Arte Colonial y Patrimonio Artistico Nacional in Quito, Ecuador.

She also initialised a foundation under her name for the benefit of the hearing impaired as well as for the common artistic development in the Quito, 1992

She organized beneficial auctions and donated many of her paintings in Ecuador.

Handing over the painting "Yo Soy La Luz del Mundo" to His Holiness Juan Pablo II during his visit in Quito 1985. "Yo soy la Luz del Mundo" is exhibited in the Vatican Museum in Rome.

Grace Polit has been regarded with a number of awards, medals and international mentions

She has also held exhibitions of her work in Sweden, France, Italy, England and Canada.

Her paintings can be found in many museums and art galleries, as well as in private collections all over the world.
