Grünenthal

Grünenthal is a German pharmaceutical company in Stolberg (Rhineland) near Aachen. It holds the patent to Tramadol, used as an analgesic (painkiller).
In the 1950s Grünenthal invented and marketed Thalidomide (Contergan or Softenon).
