Does anyone know any history of the construction of this highway? Can you add it?

[edit] Worst Stretch of the BQE

The eastbound stretch of this highway is a reliable, constant bottleneck, even if the highway is clear before and after. Probably the single biggest headache of the Brooklyn section of the BQE. By design, drivers are always cutting in front of others from the left to the right lanes, right up until the road splits - poor highway planning in action. 74.73.108.93 16:23, 25 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Parkway

I notice Gowanus Parkway links here. In what sense was it ever a parkway? Jim.henderson 05:23, 4 November 2007 (UTC)

It may not have been a true "parkway", but it was called a parkway, and did ban commercial traffic like other NYC parkways: [1] --NE2 21:43, 4 November 2007 (UTC)
Thanks. 'Twould be nice to have some dates or something, but if we don't have, we don't. Jim.henderson 02:04, 6 November 2007 (UTC)
[2] has a lot of information about it if you're interested. --NE2 05:41, 7 November 2007 (UTC)
