Thank you. The problem really is that publishing your recollections of Uncle Gordon may qualify as original research, something Wikipedia tries to avoid for difficulty with verification. I am Gordon's grandson and, having reviewed his autobiography (p. 66) note that, "On 23 March 1943, I reported for duty at Goldwater, first as a civilian but soon as a first lieutenant in the Army Medical Corps."
