I served alongside Gordon Gentle when he died. I feel that the phrase "only six months training" is tendentious.

Gordon Gentle recieved 6 months of intensive training at ITC Catterick - enough training to send him into a battle. Furthermore prior to deploying to Iraq we underwent a specific training package designed to prepare us fully for the risks we were to face. I'd also like to add that the great majority of his peers and commanders had experience in Northern Ireland and Kosovo.

His death was tragic. Although he was new to the company we all bitterly missed his good humour and company. The suggestion that he was poorly trained suggests a lack of responsibility and care on our part - this is wholly untrue. Please amend the article.

If you feel that you can improve the article, change it yourself. Most of us will not have the same familiarity with the topic as you do, and won't be able to edit it as well. As this is not a popular topic, I would suggest you chage it because you actually know the finer details of the training he underwent. I, for example, know nothing about military training, so it would be awkward for me to try to edit this satisfactorily. However, remember that Wikipedia follows a neutral point-of-view policy. Also, please sign all posts with four tildes. --Qmwne235 22:12, 31 August 2007 (UTC)
I think it is fine to drop the "only" as that is a point of view. As for the adequacy of the training we will need some verifiable sources if we are going to say anything about that. Billlion 23:46, 10 November 2007 (UTC)
