Gordon Edmund Williams (b. 1935 in Nashua, New Hampshire) is a retired Major General who was the wing commander of the 81st Tactical Fighter Wing at RAF/USAF NATO Bentwaters/Woodbridge. The Rendlesham Forest Incident occurred under his leadership. In 1983 former Airman First Class Larry Warren told the 'News of the World' newspaper that Gordon Williams was involved in the Rendlesham Forest incident and that the commander had communicated with alien entities (EBEs). Williams had never gone on record of these events until he contacted Georgina Bruni in January 1998, author of the account of the Rendlesham event called You Can't Tell the People.

Major General Williams had experience with many different type of aircraft, from fighters to multirole attackers. These include: A-10A Warthog, F-15E Strike Eagle, F-16 Fighting Falcon, F/A-18 Hornet, among others.
