[edit] History

Gora and Badal are the central heroes of many "Bardic Tales" in the history of Rajputana. These two warriors played a great role and won eternal fame while trying to protect Rani Padmini from the Turks, who had attacked Chittor after hearing tales of her great beauty. Gora and Badal were so brave that they could kill many muslims single-handedly. The story of "Gora Badal" has been depicted in a wall painting inside the Eklingaji Mandir in Udaipur. Two dome shaped houses have been constructed south of Padmini Mahal in Chittorgarh fort to commemorate the heroics of these martyrs.

The Gora Rors were the rulers of Chhoti Sadri near Chittor. They had several famous kings such as Dhanya Som, Rajyavardhan and Yash Gupt.
