• For years, I only saw gopher holes. Then I saw something that looked just like this come out of one. It was horrible. What an evil looking thing. But, if that is a gopher (I think the other language is calling it a ground mole), then the image is already on WP. I just don't have the time to figure out how to properly link to it across WP projects.

[edit] Cut the crap

OK, this is an ENCYCLOPEDIA not a playground. It is time to cut the crap. I am going to attempt to rewrite this entire article but I would like to know when I do that someone is not going to reference "Caddy Shack" again 2 hours later. There isn't anything amusing about vandalism, and the stupidity going on here hurts the credibility of wikipedia. I'll need to do some research and get some reference sources before I can really make this into something even half decent, and it would be nice if other people participated as well. --CokeBear 04:32, 6 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Gophers as targets

I'm deleting this part because A: that's cruelty to animals or something and B: that wouldn't be included in a standard encyclopedia article about a gopher, I'm fairly sure. Feel free to weigh in if you object.Sumtimreh (talk) 04:10, 12 April 2008 (UTC)
