Does anyone know the name of the actor in the Goodyear commercials? I know I have seen him in movies before as well...I think he was in Opportunity Knocks with Dana Carvey, for example (but IMDb is not helpful there, so maybe not). Adam Bishop 28 June 2005 22:55 (UTC)
well it doesnt really matter about the comercials lets get on to the factss!
[edit] A bit on the Goodyear Guy
http://www.goodyear.ca/promotions/gdyrguy.html Thom Sharp is the actor's name: The campaign features one of Canada's longest-standing and most loved brand properties-the funny, bald, Goodyear guy, actor Thom Sharp. (www.marketingmag.ca/magazine/current/ daily_news_rpt/article.jsp?content=20040112_59869_59869) I couldn't click through past the summary...subscribers only... See too this from the Canadian Advertising Research Fdn. http://www.carf.ca/members/261_news/dec2003.pdf (page 6)
- Cool, thanks. I wonder why I thought I saw him in movies...oh well. Adam Bishop 29 June 2005 22:44 (UTC)
[edit] Goodyear History
The way that the history part of this article is extremely confusing. It seems to be nothing more than a list, and would be better written in a flowing article form. Could someone do the research and bring this up to date?
[edit] No listing of brand names...
Someone should add a segment listing the brand names that Goodyear produces. Goodyear's brand names are not subsidiary corporations (though they used to be). This article is awful in its current form.
[edit] Let's clear it up
We seriously need to clean this article up. It is in a terrible condition at the moment and we need to take action, NOW!!!!!
- Note- I was the one who wrote the first cleanup request back in September. Before I had a username. Before I completely understood this place. Before I even knew what a signature was and how to write. At least I'm 4 months older, wiser, and more mature--M W Johnson 05:28, 26 January 2006 (UTC)
