Golden Fishery (황금어장) is a South Korean TV show broadcasted on MBC. It first played on the 7th of July, 2006 and had a fairly stable watching rate of 12.4%. Kang Ho Dong and Jung Sun Hee started out as the main MCs for this show. Currently, The Knee God (무릎팍 도사)”is the main show of this program

[edit] The Original "Golden Fishery"
“Golden Fishery” first played on the 7th of July, 2006 and had a fairly stable watching rate of 12.4%. “Golden Fishery” originally started out with two main MCs, Kang Ho Dong and Jung Sun Hee with Shin Jung Hwan, Kim Hye Sung and Im Chae Moo as the main panels. The main MCs always stayed the same but the panels changed frequently. Kim Sung Ju, Ock Ju Hyun, Andy, Lee Ji Hoon, Kim Jun Min and You Sae Yoon were some of the panels that have stayed in “Golden Fishery” for a while. The original “Golden Fishery” was like a play, which acted out people’s problems that were posted up on their internet homepage. This style of “Golden Fishery” started disappearing in December, 2006 due to the popularity in “The Knee Guru”(무릎팍 도사) and completely disappeared in March. 2007.

“The Knee Guru” first played in the 3rd of January, 2007. At first, it was just a special New Year program. However, so many people loved it and posted up on MBC’s internet site that it should be a fixed program. Thus, it became a fixed program in February and is still loved by many people.
[edit] The Knee Guru (무릎팍 도사) – Kang Ho Dong (강호동)
The Knee Guru “supposedly” listens to the guests’ problems and solves them. However, the Knee God actually attacks the guests with tough questions and leads the guests to talk about many different things. After all, “The Knee Guru” is a talk show, even though it doesn’t seem like one. The Knee Guru, Kang Ho Dong (강호동), is a famous comedian in South Korean. He was actually a Korean Wrestler, also known as Ssireum (씨름) player, but in 1993, he passed the MBC’s special comedian test and became a formal comedian. He as hosted many programs before and currently, he’s hosting “Star-king”(놀라운 대회 스타킹) in SBS, “Happy Sunday” (해피선데이) in KBS and “Golden Fishery” (황금어장) in MBC.
[edit] The Rude Guru (건방진 도사) – Yu Sae Yoon (유세윤)
The Rude Guru’s concept is “rude,” just like his name. His job is to introduce the guests’ profiles and there is always a mistake in the information that he found. It might seem like he did it without intention but he actually does it on purpose, since he’s rude. He always treats the guests with rude manners and makes the guests angry. The Rude Guru, Yoo Se Yoon (유세윤), passed the KBS’s 19th official comedian test in 2006. He currently is an active comedian in “KBS Gag Concert,” (개그콘서트) while also hosting “Sang Sang Plus” (상상플러스) in KBS.
[edit] The Band Boy (밴드 동자) – All Lies Band (올라이즈 밴드)
The Band Boy wasn’t originally casted as a member of “The Knee God.” He actually came to play the guitar and sing the theme song of “The Knee God.” However, he showed his hidden talking skills so he actually became a fixed member of “The Knee God” The Band Boy, All Lies Band, debuted in 2001 as a singer in Korea. He produced 3 albums as a singer and he is famous for making logo songs for radios. He was an unknown singer until he came out to “The Knee God” and now he even hosts “Jung Shin Tong Il” (작럴! 정신통일) in SBS, and comes out as a guest in many different programs.
