The Golden Spider Awards, often just called the Golden Spiders, are an annual event honouring Irish individuals and organisations for their outstanding achievements on-line and celebrate the successes of the Internet and digital media in Ireland.
The awards were established by Business & Finance magazine in 1996 [1], and have grown from the first year to become the main Internet awards in Ireland. The main sponsor in 2007 was eircom.
