The Golden Plough Tavern, built in 1741 on the same site as the General Horatio Gates House and Barnett Bobb Log House, is a historic building in downtown York, Pennsylvania and is the oldest surviving building there. Over the years it has served as a hotel, restaurant and source for news and has housed Congressional delegates. The Conway Cabal, a political intrigue against General George Washington, had its origins in the Golden Plough Tavern.
