I am a research assistant professor at the University of New Hampshire in Ocean Engineering and live within the Center for Coastal and Ocean Mapping. In interest of disclosing possible WP:COI, I work with NOAA on the marine Chart of the Future, NASA JPL on the Phoenix Mars Lander and Cornell on the North Atlantic Right Whale AIS notification project. In the past, I have worked for Carnegie Mellon, NASA Ames, the USGS, and the SETI Institute. I talk a lot with people at the USCG and Army Corps of Engineers.

My contributions to Wikipedia have been fairly small so far. Mostly I work on an internal wiki for work that uses MediaWiki and post on my blog.
