[edit] Song information

Go Green Ranger Go serves as the Green Ranger's theme and capitalizes on his sixth member status as who always appeared fashionably late as reinforcements for the other Rangers when they were backed into a corner. There have three different known versions of the song, each with slightly different lyrics. The first version debuted on the two part episode Return of an Old Friend on February 28, 1994 and was released commercially on the audio play adaptation of On Fins and Needles exclusively on cassette a few months later. This features the standards lyric "Goldar's gonna get you tonight" and "Don't let Evil Rita put a spell on your mind". The second version was released on the soundtrack Mighty Morphin Power Rangers The Album: A Rock Adventure on December 1, 1994. This version was used in the second season and featured new lyrics that substitute Lord Zedd's name for Rita Repulsa's, as she was no longer the main villain. The final version was briefly used in two part episode "White Light" on October 18, 1994 when the new White Ranger first goes into action. These lyrics substitute White Ranger for Green Ranger. Ironically, Go Green Ranger Go would set the standard for the next two sixth Rangers by giving them their individual theme song, the White Ranger with White Ranger Tiger Power in season two and the Gold Ranger with Go Gold Ranger in Power Rangers: Zeo.
