Which (fairly recent) year did the village win the "Best Village" (can't remember if it was "...in England" or "...in Britain") award? I seem to remember it was mentioned on the road signs as you entered the village. David Philip Aaron Alexander Jones ON
- Hmm...I think there's a Best Kept Village and Britain in Bloom plaque up. Not sure of the years, but I'll try and remember to look next time I happen to drive past the signs. Not saying I'll remember, though... – drw25 (talk) 20:47, 16 August 2005 (UTC)
Perhaps this article could be expanded a little? A note could be made about the carnival, the old lock-up, etc. - although I'm far too lazy to do it myself. By the way; hi Jonesy & Warren. CTC 15:46, 5 November 2005 (UTC)

- We know you use wikipedia for your random facts rather than original research, and that's ok, but make sure you read it correctly. For your information, Gnosall is NOT a "small village". It's actually an extremely large one, one of the largest in the country. It has no cobbled streets and very few old buildings. The suicides are not unusual at all, when you take into account that the village's population is more suggestive of a town than a village. Drop the story, that goes for you too, The Guardian.
