Talk:Glory hole

[edit] Time to split the article?

It think it's time to break this article into parts and set up a disambiguation page. There are three separate uses, and each is widely divergent enough that I don't think they belong together anymore. Also, I think the history of the phrase probably goes farther back in glassblowing than the gold rush, but haven't researched that yet.

Please advise me of any objections. --Unfocused 20:34, 3 Jun 2005 (UTC)

[edit] dam

"a glory hole is used when a dam is at full capacity and water needs to be drained from the resevoir."
