  • original description: The Virgin Atlantic GlobalFlyer aircraft is on display for employees at NASA's Kennedy Space Center, Fla. Steve Fossett will pilot the GlobalFlyer on a record-breaking attempt by flying solo, non-stop without refueling, to surpass the current record for the longest flight of any aircraft. final preparations are being made at Kennedy before taking off on its record-setting flight, as early as Feb. 1, from Kennedy's Space Shuttle Landing Facility.
