Glory (spacecraft)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Glory[1] is a proposed NASA mission for Earth science, specifically the monitoring of solar influences on the climate.
[edit] Overview
As of 2007, much is yet unknown about the spacecraft[2]. But it has been proposed that its main objectives are to gather and transmit data focusing on meteorology. It is to be launched in 2009 by a Delta II rocket. The proposed orbiter is in priority for cancellation due to budget calls and for accomplishing short-term goals like to service the aging Hubble Space Telescope, completion of the International Space Station by 2010, and for the Crew Exploration Vehicle to fly at least in 2014.
