The Globe-flower (Trollius europaeus) is a plant of the family Ranunculaceae.
It has a tall, 60 cm flower with a bright yellow, globe-shaped head. It grows in damp ground in shady areas, woodland and scrub, flowering between June and August. A native of Europe and Western Asia. It's slightly poisonous and is purgative and rubefacient when used fresh.
