Global Run

The Global Run, created and piloted in 2005 by Jody Kennedy, an art teacher of the White Plains City School District, is an international fundrasing event held annually in 25 schools in 14 countries. The project was first piloted during October 2005 in Eastview Middle School as a way to promote activism and support the Millennium Development Goals, laid out during the Millennium Summit it 2000 to be achieved by 2015. Gradually, the project has gained domestic and international partners and has been mentioned in several newspapers, including the New York Times, as well as on television.
