Global Angels is an innovative international children’s charity championing the needs of children around the world. Founded by Molly Bedingfield (mother of Natasha and Daniel Bedingfield), Global Angels is quickly becoming the charity of choice for celebrities and the public alike. Ambassadors include the likes of Natasha Bedingfield, Lilly Cole, Lemar, Lilly Allen, Daniel Bedingfield and Diana Yukawa.
A unique charity in itself, Global Angels promises that for every pound of public money donated to their causes, ALL will go directly to support projects working with children at a grass-roots level. Their main aim is a simple one:
TO MAKE THE WORLD A SAFER AND KINDER PLACE FOR ALL CHILDREN
This is done through a number of projects which support children across the world – in Africa, Asia, South America and the UK. The Global Angels Foundation is involved in the following campaigns:
• Feed a Child for a Year – partnering with many local projects, Global Angels’ goal is to feed and educate one million children a year in Africa and Asia and Latin America
• Orphans and Street Children – providing children with protection, food, shelter, education and hope for a better future through locally run projects
• HIV - educating school students about the dangers of unprotected sex and raising awareness of HIV/Aids.
• Trafficking and Child Slavery – supporting thousands of children who have been trafficked, and sold into the sex industry through local grass root projects
• Water – providing clean and adequate drinking water facilities in Africa and Asia, whilst educating locals on maintenance
• Disabled children - supporting disabled children and their families across the world and providing them with hope to get their lives on track (through surgery, counselling and support) and integrated back into their communities/families. In the UK Global Angels does this through:
- White Lodge supporting Children with Disabilities
- 4 Children supporting Working Parents
- Sebastians Trust supporting children with life limiting illness
