Glenn (Max) McGee

Glenn (Max) McGee (born October 6, 1950) is an American educator.

McGee is currently the president of the Illinois Mathematics and Science Academy, chosen in June of 2007. Previous to this, McGee was the superintendent of Wilmette School District 39 and previous to that he was the Illinois State Superintendent of Schools. He has worked as a substitute teacher, middle school teacher, principal, and superintendent[1]. He graduated with an undergraduate degree from Dartmouth College and he graduated with a doctorate degree from the University of Chicago[2].

McGee has a wife, Jan, and three children. He also has a grandson, Trent.

  • McGee used to run marathons as a hobby, but he still enjoys triathlons. Last year he placed first in three triathlons.
