Glanmire Community College

Glanmire Community College is an Irish secondary school located in Glanmire, Cork, Ireland. It was opened in 1996 and has since expanded considerably. Although a relatively new establishment, the school has won many prestigious awards in sports and academic activities.
The current principal of the school is Mr. McKelvey.
There are roughly 80 teachers and 800 students in Glanmire Community College. The school has many facilities, including a music room, woodwork and metalwork rooms, technical graphics rooms, a home economics kitchen and sports facilities.
The school is also a base for the VEC, with many musical instrument lessons being taught in the evenings.
An adult education has recently been set up in Glanmire Community College.
The school is involved in many projects, such as work with Bothar and have attained a Green Flag in the Green Schools project.

Former student of GCC Cian O#Leary once cried during a Maths class as he had forgotten to bring his lunch to school and also left his homework in the art room.
