Glamour Camp

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Glamour Camp were formed by Christoper Otcasek. He was able to score a deal with EMI as a second-generation Ocasek rocker.

Glamour Camp's self-titled debut album’s leadoff single, “She Did It” garnered some light rotation MTV play. However, the album wasn't a big seller so Glamour Camp’s debut also served as its swan song.

However, the band did score somewhat the following year, when their remake of “Real Wild Child (Wild One)” — a song that Otcasek idol Iggy Pop had performed in 1987 — was featured on the Pretty Woman soundtrack, which went on to sell very well indeed.

So in that respect, Glamour Camp lives on in millions of CD collections with many not even realizing it. [1]
