The Biography of George Muumbo
George Kenyatta Muumbo, the Future President of the Republic of Kenya was born on 20OCT1974 in Narok District, Rift Valley Province in Kenya, East Africa. Born to Mr. and Mrs. Timothy and Josephine Muumbo, Kenyatta has 16 siblings and a numerous extended family. Kenyatta plans to seek higher office based on his immense leadership experiences, political acumen and military background. He brings to the table what no other political aspirant or leader in Kenya will, come the general election following that of the year 2012 in Kenya.
Kenyatta was educated beginning Peponi Kindergarten in Westlands then proceeded to Highridge Primary School in Parklands. At Highridge, Kenyatta was a School Prefect from Standard 4 on through to graduation at Standard 8. Additionally, Kenyatta held other leadership positions at this young and tender age. He rose to command the Kenya Scout`s Troop at the school, rising above the ranks from a very junior and non-leadership position as a cub-scout in 2nd Grade, graduating to a full scout in 4th grade, section leader in 5th Grade and to eventually a squad leader in 6th Grade. In his 7th Grade year, Kenyatta was promoted to Troop Leader and in the same year, was named the School's Scout Leader, a rank he held for an unprecedented two years. Kenyatta saw the Kenya Scouts Group at Highridge Primary School rise through to professionalism as the Troop became competitive and highly sought after for drill, movement and scout techniques. To this day, the Kenya Scout's at this school, seek to maintain and surpass the bar set by Kenyatta.
Upon graduation from Highridge Primary School, Kenyatta enrolled at Parklands Secondary School, Junior High and sought to bring the same ethos he developed and envisioned in Primary School. In Form 1, Kenyatta again was awarded a leadership position at the school by first becoming a class prefect and impressively commanding the first year squad of the Kenya Scouts. Kenyatta continued his quest for excellence in leadership through the 2nd Year at Parklands rising to the rank of Troop leader in a Unit commanded by his elder brother Bill. All Muumbo's, from the brothers to the sisters, held leadership positions in school...it was comical at times when the school lined up for awards and the Muumbo 'battalion' would for sure encompass the awards ceremony. "Leadership and excellence was engrained in the deep into the core of all the members of the family", Muumbo would say. "We we top scholars, athletes and leaders. It was an experience I will cherish for the rest of my life".
Kenyatta would stay at Parkland's Secondary for two years and along with his elder brother Bill, brought the first formation of a transformed St. John's Ambulance Brigade at Parklands High School to fruitition. Now as an EMT and Troop Leader, Kenyatta sought to bring the values of the Kenya Police that he constantly borrowed from his father to school for the benefit of the students. It was his last year at Parklands but his values and vision remain there to this day.
Now in High School, Kenyatta enrolled in the Former Campbell Academy in Kitui, now Kitui High School and at Form three begun to transform the school from its very foundations. Adorned by the principle, staff and the students, Kenyatta brought a fasion of leadership never before experience in the school. Kenyatta would on the second semester of his first year in this school become a school prefect and also commander the Scout Troop as Scout Leader. The Kenya Scouts at Kitui High School would be transformed for ever into an outfit of discipline, excellence and quality leadership. The troop was a direct mirror of a military outfit thanks to Kenyatta, with all the discipline and performance of a military unit. The Kenya Scouts at Kitui High School would become a force of envy to most schools, principles and students. In his last year at Kitui High School, Kenyatta was named Captain of the School with his three younger brothers being prefects as well. An unprecedented two years as Scout Leader and the best Captain the School ever had, Kenyatta graduated and left Campbell Academy as a distinguished leader, scholar and athlete who broght fame, recognition, discipline and improved the school's overall stature not only in the province but the nation as a whole. Today, Kenyatta's name is engraved on a plaque at the School's Administration Block.
To pursue his education further, Kenyatta travelled to the United States of America where he is pursuing a degree in Political Science and International business with minors in Military Science and Criminal Justice. "Life was not always a bed of roses", Kenyatta says of life in America. From a marriage that went sour to fighting negative forces bent on his destruction, Kenyatta has emerged a much stronger and more august leader and at the best a rising soldier in training. Kenyatta enrolled in the Army's Reserve Officer's Training Corps at Alabama A&M University where he is completing his beccalaureate requirements. In his own words, "enrolling as a cadet would make me a more well-rounded leader capable of competing at any level with my pears and collegues by day or by night". Kenyatta rose the ranks of the ROTC Battalion at Alabama A&M University to the present rank of Master Sergeant which he currently holds. Kenyatta's affinity to leadership and excellence still accompanies him even in the Military's training program. For the past three years, 2005 through today, Kenyatta is the Battalions S5, the Public Affairs Officer (PAO) where he has brought noteriety and set a bar for reporting, recriuting and leadership development. Kenyatta intends to graduate in 2010 and commission as a 2nd Lt. in the United States Army from where his journey to the world will be marked and tested in the battlefield as well as in the corporate world as a laweher. "My ultimate goal is to ganner enough experience in the Army as a leader and apply it to become the Commander In Chief of The Armed Forces of Kenya when I run for office as the President of the Republic of Kenya. I just do not see myself asking for votes to become president and with no military background".
Through out Kenyatta's childhood and young adulthood, the influences of his father have helped to shape who he is and who he is to become. The senior Muumbo served as a senior police officer in the Kenya Police Force before retiring after 35 years of service to serve his people in politics. Kenyatta's mother as well served in the disciplined services before a lateral transfer to the immigration department.
The Muumbo family has had its share of pain. The family of 16 strong, now down to 11 siblings is the epitome of a true warrior spirit. The loss of Andrew, Francis, Charles, Edward and Jane have brought new focus and a renewed impetus towards life, faith and determination.
George Kenyatta Muumbo will commission in 2010 as a soldier, a 2nd Lt. in the Army of the United States, serve his adopted nation well and with distinction before embarking on applying lessons learnt in the political theater of Kenyan politics. Critical is the formation of Africom with hopes that its headquarters shall be no where else but in Kenya. --George Kenyatta Muumbo (talk) 06:06, 23 March 2008 (UTC)
