Giyōfū architecture
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Giyōfū architecture (擬洋風建築 -kenchiku) or pseudo-Western-style architecture) was a style of Japanese architecture which outwardly resembled Western-style construction but relied on traditional Japanese techniques. It was most common in the early Meiji era (1868-1912) and disappeared as knowledge of Western techniques became more widespread.
