Givetian

The Givetian stage is the later stage of the Middle Devonian epoch. It lasted from 391.8 ± 2.7 Ma to 385.3 ± 2.6 Ma.
North American subdivisions of the Givetian include Erian, Senecan, Tioughniogan, Tioughnioga, Cazenovia (pars), Cazenovian (pars), Taghanic, Taghanican, Genesee, and Geneseean.
The stage is named after the French city of Givet.
