Dansk: Pige i midnatssol i Upernavik, Grønland. Pigen er min datter, som kigger ud af badeværelsesvinduet etfer at have været i bad kl. 23:35 2007-06-09. Vinduet vender mod nordvest. EXIF Metadata viser at klokken er 03:35. Dette er en fejl som skyldes at jeg på daværende tidspunkt ikke have fået skiftet regional indstilling på kameraet (dank lokaltid er +4 timer ift. Grønland). Trods det arktiske klima kan det virke behageligt varmt i Nordvestgrønland i sommerperioden i kraft af en en tør luft, ofte ringe eller ingen vind og hyppige skyfrie forhold som kan vare dage (og nætter).
English: Girl in Midnight sun in Upernavik, Greenland. The girl is my daughter looking out of a bathroom window after taking a bath at 11:35 pm on 2007-06-09. The window is facing North-West. The EXIF says it is 3.35 AM. This is an error which is caused by an incorrect regional setting to Denmark, which is 4 hours ahead relative to Greenland. Despite the arctic climate it often feels quite warm in North-West Greenland during the summer period. This is due to a relatively low humidity, general low wind and often the sun shines from a clear blue sky for several days (and nights).
Français : Fille de l'auteur éclairée par le soleil de minuit à Upernavik, au Groenland. Photo prise à la fenêtre d'une salle de bain le 09 juin 2007 à 23h35. La fenêtre est exposée au nord-ouest. En cette saison, la sensation de douceur est très marquée malgré le climat arctique suite a la forte insolation, l'absence de vent et la sècheresse de l'air.
