Giovanna Debono née Attard (born November 25, 1956 in Victoria, Gozo, Malta), is a Maltese politician, daughter of the late Coronato Attard, also Member of Parliament from 1965 to 1987 and Anna née Tabone. She is currently the Minister for Gozo, a post she was first appointed to in 1998, re-appointed in 2003 confirmed in 2004, and furter re-appointed in 2008.[1] Debono also served for a small period of time as Agent Prime Minister while both the Prime Minister of Malta and Deputy Prime Minister of Malta (together with the Finance Minister of Malta, were on the Spring EU summit in 2008.
