Giorgio Mitolo (born August 6, 1966 in Rome, Italy), is an Italian-Canadian TV reporter and newscaster for the Italian edition of OMNI News,[citation needed] broadcast from Toronto. OMNI Television is a Canadian multicultural channel, owned by Rogers Communications.

Born and raised in Rome, after his parents - the father, a civil lawyer, and the mother, an high-school teacher - moved from Puglia, in the early '60's. He has later become a Canadian citizen, on 2005, where he originally arrived for the first time on 1997, and moved steadily on 2001. He actually lives in Toronto (Ontario).

In 1987, he began working as reporter at Persona TV in Rome. One year later, he was assigned to cover the position of announcer and newscaster for the Italian programs of Radio Korea International, owned by KBS - Korean Broadcasting System, in Seoul, South Korea. It was during this experience that he also wrote for the daily newspaper Il Corriere dello Sport - Stadio. From 1991 to 2001, he has worked as reporter for RTL News, broadcast by RTL Network radio, in Roma, and later for RAI - Radio Televisione Italiana, where he wrote and host two series of a radio program in English, based on current cultural events, broadcast by RAI International. It was in 2001 that he moved toToronto, where he has worked as Italian newscaster for Radio Uno, and later as an assistant producer and reporter at TLN-Telelatino for two seasons. In 2003, he arrived at CHIN Radio & TV International, where he has worked three years as newscaster, reporter and host for a variety of radio programs, news mainly. Since 2007, he has become a reporter for OMNI News, the only one-hour Italian TV daily news present in the Northamerican continent, and broadcast on OMNI.1, weekdays at 8pm E.T.
