The Gila Valley, Globe & Northern Railway was a common carrier incorporated on January 24, 1894. The railway built from a connection with the Southern Pacific Railroad (AAR reporting marks SP) at Bowie, Arizona (known as Teviston until 1908) and continued northwest for 125.75 miles to its terminus at the mining town of Globe, Arizona. The railroad also had a 10-mile branch that extended from Globe to Miami, Arizona.
