Gianluca Masi is an Italian astronomer.
He has discovered a number of asteroids.
Near-Earth objects (NEO) and comets are his main scientific interest. He earned a PhD in astronomy in 2006 and he is currently continuing his research in NEO photometry.
He won a number of prizes for his scientific activities and run a personal observatory in Italy, including a fully robotic, remotely controlled telescope.
