[edit] Talk:PlaneShift (computer game)
Let me respond to Luca's comments please, for I'm not too sure that I like the overall tone of your responses, and I've been here longer. I find it interesting that the only article you've edited so far with this account is PlaneShift (computer game). Tuxide 09:12, 17 July 2007 (UTC)
- The tone of my responses? Am I the one who's biting and verging on the WP:PA? Yes, the only article I've edited so far is PlaneShift (computer game), if you want I could explain it but I doubt you really do find it interesting.
- And back to my own comments, I said nothing that should be of surprise to anyone. Yes, it's nice that Luca says he has nothing to do with the article looking like an advert. No, it doesn't mean the article should stay like that. And yes, an advert to a free product is still an advert.
- WP:AGF and good day to you. Ghost Musters 19:16, 17 July 2007 (UTC)
- Hello again, perhaps I can explain myself. Lately, I've been seeing many people come from this game onto Wikipedia and use this article as a battleground. Pardon the roughness of my above post if that's how you interpreted it; I didn't mean it and more importantly I really wanted to see what kind of reaction you would give me. I've never seen Luca edit Wikipedia either; he told me he only posted on the talk page because someone asked for his opinion and I don't know who it was. I also don't agree with many of the things he said, mostly because I've been watching this article for a while. Please satisfy my curiosity, for I actually do find it interesting why the PlaneShift article brings you to Wikipedia. Apart from that, I don't see how it looks like an advert because nobody has brought up a valid reason why, but the article needs to be cleaned up and expanded anyways. The person who added the {{advert}} tag had an obvious conflict of interest, for to me he appeared as if he had recently been banned from the game, and his uncivil behavior on Wikipedia didn't give me any reason to assume good faith. If you have questions, feel free to ask me on my talk page. Best regards, Tuxide 02:00, 18 July 2007 (UTC)
- The article didn't 'bring me to Wikipedia', I've been using Wikipedia for a long time now, but never bothered registering. I know of Planeshift, and the article is quite a mess. Exactly because it is so easy in such an article to not assume good faith and for the article to drift away from how a Wikipedia article is supposed to be, I figured it would be best if I edit under a name rather than IP. To be honest, I never edited much even without a name, but I've been around long enough to know stuff. My sole intentions with PlaneShift (computer game) is that it will follow Wikipedia guidances, and yes I also believe the criticisms about the game (or more specifically about the development of it) should not be swept under the rug any longer. Good day. Ghost Musters 16:57, 19 July 2007 (UTC)
- I would be for this only if appropriate citations could be found so they can be verified. Previous attempts to add criticism were inappropriate mainly because they failed to cite from anything, but also because they were based on original research. Tuxide
