[edit] Important

Something else important that was left out of the description of ghetto fabulousness is that it is most commmonly thought of simply living aboves ones means, where the importance isn't the source of the money rather what it is used on. It most commonly refers to someone with a job, in fact, that may simply be living in debt. I fear whoever wrote this is trying to make the meaning of it mean living primarily off of illegal activity. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Criticalthinker (talkcontribs) .

[edit] Confused

The article's definition of ghetto-fabulous seems almost the opposite of what I understand the term to mean. The definition I'm more familiar with has nothing to do with living above ones means but is more of the black version of white trash. For example tacky guady decorations and clothing that someone with little means might believe to be fashionable or even indicative of wealth. I've also heard it used to describe the act of people incorporating ghetto culture in places where it doesn't fit in. Such as serving cool-aide (or an off brand) at an upscale social event. But I have no sources so... Eno-Etile 19:03, 31 August 2007 (UTC)
