Reeds for Practice Chanter and Great Highland Bagpipe (GHB), from left to right; a cane practice chanter reed, a synthetic practice chanter reed, a synthetic practice chanter reed in a practice chanter, a cane GHB chanter reed, a cane GHB chanter reed in profile, a cane GBH chanter reed in a GHB chanter, a cane tenor drone reed (traditional), a plastic tenor drone reed with a cane tongue ("Champion Reeds"), an early all synthetic plastic bass drone reed ("Shepherd Reeds"), a modern synthetic bass drone reed of composite materials in a GHB bass drone ("Rocket Reeds").
