Ghazu

Ghazu or raid was an Arabic custom where members of one tribe would raid the territory of one of its adversaries for booty during difficult times. Ghazu were "time-honored way" of preserving balance of power and bloodshed was avoided whenever possible. They were considered similar to "national sport" in Arabia and an accepted way of making ends meet during difficult times [1].
