Ghana Secondary Technical School

The Ghana Secondary Technical School is a science and technical school located in Takoradi at the west coast of Ghana. The school was founded on 4th October 1909 in Accra as Accra Technical School, and, after the name had been changed to Government Technical School, it moved to its current site in Takoradi in 1939.[1] In 1953, the name was changed to Government Secondary Technical School, and in 1970, it was given its current name.[2] It is a typical boys' school. Passed Former Students of the school are popularly known as giants, and students in the school are called tescans.

Ghana Secondary Technical School(G.S.T.S) is an educational institution located at Takoradi, which is at the west coast of Ghana. G.S.T.S students who are boys only are called Tescans. It was established in 1909 by the British Army. The current Headmaster is Mr. T.K. Mensah (1996 - to date).
G.S.T.S is considered one of the best second cycle schools in Ghana. Courses taught there are Technical, General Science and General Arts and has first class laboratories.
