[edit] Olexandr Stretskyy

I think the original article is the incorrect version. I know Janusz works hard at the amateur-boxing.strefa.pl but does get a lot of names wrong. Please let me know your thoughts.--Aaron Pryor Fan (talk) 21:55, 1 March 2008 (UTC)

I will try and make a good single article. If I make an attempt maybe you can if it up.--Aaron Pryor Fan (talk) 22:36, 1 March 2008 (UTC)
I will do a Google fight on all three and whichever one wins we will merge the article to that title for the time being. Then if they fight at the Olympic Games under that or another name then we will use that. My head hurts.--Aaron Pryor Fan (talk) 10:04, 2 March 2008 (UTC)
Here are the results. It appears straight forward at the moment for both Aleksandr Usik and Shahin Imranov only one we need to keep an eye on is the Olexandr Stretskyy as that could change.--Aaron Pryor Fan (talk) 10:27, 2 March 2008 (UTC)
Leave your email address on the User:Vintagekits talkpage and I will email you the articles.--John Duddy Fan (talk) 16:55, 10 March 2008 (UTC)
German.Knowitall, you should know that you would be violating WP:Banning policy if you conspire with Vintagekits to edit for him this way. Please note that your account would also be liable for blocking if you decided to do this. My advice would be to let it go and continue to be a productive editor yourself, with your own content. [edit] Speedy deletion of Thomas Essomba

A tag has been placed on Thomas Essomba requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. – ThatWikiGuy (talk) 12:30, 5 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Quick comment

I just wanted to point out that per WP:LEAD, an article's intro should "be able to stand alone as a concise overview of the article.", very short leads like the one that you left here create trouble when an article is nominated at WP:GAN. - Caribbean~H.Q. 01:52, 10 June 2008 (UTC)
