I am a newcomer to Wikipedia and this is the first article I am going to begin researching and editing. As anybody who takes even a cursory look at the article can see, it is a mess, and has been tagged by previous contributors as needing a complete rewrite. But even more importantly, the article is not well sourced. There is a tremendous amount of material to be found in the critical literature. As a parent, I am particularly concerned with what the systemic outcomes are for the children involved.
