This is a piece of Galloping Gertie (the original Tacoma Narrows Bridge). This is part of the concrete roadway. This concrete barrier seperated the roadway from the sidewalk. This piece is probably from the salvage operation in 1942 used to collect the steel for wartime use. The concrete roadbed was simply jackhammered to the ground below. rebar and steel pieces in the concrete noticeable. The drainage slot is similar to the ones shown in the film.
