Description

Gerichtskampf / judicial combat. Darstellung des Zweikampfes zwischen Wilhelm Marschalk von Dornsberg und Theodor Haschenacker in Augsburg, Weinmarkt (1409). Marschalks Schwert zerbrach zu Beginn des Kampfes, aber er vermochte Haschenacker mit dessen eigenem Schwert zu töten. Die Schilde der beiden Kämpfer wurden in der Leonardskirche ausserhalb Augsburgs aufbewahrt bis zu deren Abriss 1542.
