Gertle's Bake Shop was a legendary Jewish Bake Shop on New Yorks Lower East Side. Located at 53 Hester Street, Gertle's Bake Shop operated from the late 1800s until it closed on June 21st, 2007 [1]. Recently another branch of the store has been opened on New Yorks Upper East Side.
