German place names (Alsace)

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Below is a list of German language exonyms for towns and village in the Alsace region of France (German: Elsaß) which had been predominantly populated by German-speaking peoples since the 6th century.

Note that this list includes only some names which are significantly different, minor spelling differences such as Zutzendorf/Zützendorf are not yet completely included. Also included are names where the sole difference is -weiler instead of -willer, e.g. Dettwiller (French)/Dettweiler (German).
