Gerd Aretz

Gerd Aretz (born February 18, 1930) is a German artist. He draws post stamps for the Deutsche Bundespost since 1960 including the Women in German history series portraits.
Born in Wuppertal, North Rhine-Westphalia, he teaches art in the local university.
His son, Oliver Aretz is a designer in Berlin and has worked with him on some stamps.
