Gerard Rossi

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Gerard Rossi (born 1988) is a Scottish footballer. Gerard left Hibernian F.C. in August 2007 after the club's manager, John Collins, released him. Rossi was close to signing with LA Galaxy but the move was canceled due to immigration issues preventing him from obtaining a green card. The young striker then went to Slovakia for a trial with Spartak Trnava, but was approached by FC Neded, with whom he later signed. In doing so, Gerard made history by becoming the first professional Scottish footballer to play in Slovakia.
