Geraldine Swayne

After studying for a degree in Fine Art, she became a painter and film maker. In the late 1990's she won a Northern Arts Travel Award, and moved to New Orleans USA and then on to Languedoc in France for a year, where she was represented by Stanislaw Demidjuk. On her return, she worked in London's growing film industry, making special effects for any number of commercials and movies. During the mid nineties she made numerous short films and music videos for 'Gallon Drunk', and the Scapegoats. In 1999 she made the first experimental super-8 to Imax film about the East End of London, which has been shown in Imax cinemas throughout the world. Since the early 1990s, she has exhibited work at various venues throughout the UK including the Rich and famous gallery, the 291 Gallery, Gallery K, Four Corners, Patriot Hall and Oxford House. She is currently lead singer in contemporary, avant-garde rock band, "...Bender" and has recently enjoyed collaborations with artist Harry Pye and legendary Krautrock group Faust.

2008 - working with improvisational group "Bad Servant" and represented by Aquarium L-13 Gallery, Farringdon Rd. (first solo show Jan 2008).
