[edit] High School Years
Sensabaugh attended Dobyns-Bennett High School and was a student and a standout in football and track. In football, he led his team to two consecutive Class 5A Semifinals, and as a senior, he was named as an All-Big East selection. In track, he won the State Championship on the Long Jump.
[edit] College Years
He began his collegiate career at East Tennessee State University but transferred to the University of North Carolina as a senior when ETSU disbanded their football program. He finished his one year Carolina career with four interceptions, five fumble recoveries, and three touchdowns. Sensabaugh tied an NCAA single game record after blocking three punts in one game. He was selected by the Jaguars in the fifth round (157th overall) of the 2005 NFL Draft. Sensabaugh also recorded a 46' vertical at the combine, The highest ever for an NFL player.
[edit] Professional career
Sensabaugh immediately stood out on the Jaguar team; one of few rookies who started every game his first season. He was a star amongst the special teams, and in the playoffs of his rookie year, he got a chance to start for the remainder of the season at strong safety after Pro Bowler Donovin Darius got hurt. In the 2006 season, he continued to shine on all special teams, and then halfway through the season, he yet again received a starting spot when Darius incurred a season ending knee injury.
The Jaguars extended a second-round tender to Sensabaugh a restricted free agent. Sensabaugh signed his one-year tender that was extended to him. He is penciled in as the team's starting strong safety.[1]
