Gepid is a London based journalist and amateur historian with a B.A. from Warwick University in History and Politics. I have gained a recent interest in the fates of influential political parties or factions in British politics like the Canningites, Peelites, Liberal Unionists , National Liberals and others who are usually overlooked by professional historians . I also noted recently that the Conservative party leader David Cameron used the description of 'Liberal Conservative' for his own views which makes me wonder if he is aware of the history of this particular 'label'.
